Jeff is there for live footage, safety secondary concern.
He did pick concrete block wall structure, with hurricane straps.
I'm by no means an expert on any of this but... How the hell is that building the best place to be?!?!?!? That looks ridiculously unsafe!!

It's still moving at 8 mph according to the NHC.

937 just outside the eye. Seems 934 is a reasonable estimate.

Looking at satellite it looks stuck in or near the same spot, and drifting west very slowly. It is just my opinion though for now.

If he EVER gets inside the eye...I would find some way to break into that blue shed and stay in there for the the duration. If he plans on staying...would he actually try to drive out of there in the eye? I dunno.

Might just be my eyes, but it looks like the winds are starting to decrease on Jeff's feed...he needs that eye.

Re: ATL: HARVEY - Hurricane - Discussion
From what I can tell Jeff is only getting pressure and the wind from radar software which is not exactly accurate for surface....
Though it is in a living hell either way.

I don't know this part of Texas well, but Google tells me that the populations of most of the towns in the eyewall are pretty low (<10k, many <1k). Jeff has had impressive winds, and he's only been in the "weak" front-left quadrant! The front-right quad is going farther northeast. Google satellite imagery doesn't show much in the front-right quad area. Of course, it's catastrophic for those who are affected, but it's a heck of a lot less damage than if a more populated area like Corpus Christi had been in the eywall.

Given Jeff's data for pressure, the relationship change and the satellite presentation, I'd go with 125 kt for landfall.
