Now onto Debby..

Hopefully she will become our first hurricane of 2006.

If Debby becomes a hurricane and hits somewhere, how much you wanna bet some newspaper will use the headline "Debby Does _____"?

Damage? :)

Maybe the third time for her will be the charm. In 1994, I don't remember too much because I was just 10, but it seemed like one model brought her up to major hurricane intensity (please correct me on this, I have little memory). Plus, she went from a 70 mph to poof in a matter of hours. And of course, we know the story in 2000.

I have a feel that Debby won't just poof this year, though she sounds like a fish to me for some reason.

There will not be an advisory at 2AM this morning because there are no watches are warnings in effect. :D

I'm so tired of tracking this thing I almost want it to die now and get it over with. I agree with people when they say it's almost a waste of time.

Hmmm... Let me sum up TD Chris with a few kind words before I head off to bed for the night:

1. Abysmal
2. Remember TS Grace? This is coming pretty darn close.
3. I'm bored. Where's Debby?
4. Goodnight!

Yeah... *glances around and whispers conspiringly* But for some reason tonight, I have this little evil desire though just to see the thing come back just so i can see all the Pro's freak out a lil and fall outta there chairs in shock... The board go completely crazy spazy like they always do when something unexpected happens... and giant crow eating festivals can commence *cackles evilly* I know... something is seriously wrong with me isn't it?! LOL

You know things are bad when there are more upper level lows in the area than thunderstorm cells.

From the 0205 AM TWD:

THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION CHRIS IS NEAR 21.6N 74.0W
AT 05/0300 UTC MOVING WEST 11 KT. THE ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL
PRESSURE IS 1012 MB. THE MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WIND SPEED IS 25 KT
WITH GUSTS TO 35 KT. PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST NHC FORECAST/
ADVISORY UNDER AWIPS/WMO HEADERS MIATCMAT3/WTNT23 KNHC AND
THE PUBLIC ADVISORY MIATCPAT3/WTNT33 KNHC FOR MORE DETAILS.
ONE LONE THUNDERSTORM CELL IS NEAR THE ACKLINS ISLANDS.
ONE MIDDLE TO UPPER LEVEL LOW CENTER IS NEAR 21N66W. THE
CYCLONIC FLOW AROUND THIS LOW CENTER COVERS THE GULF OF
MEXICO/THE ATLANTIC OCEAN/THE CARIBBEAN SEA FROM 14N BEYOND
32N BETWEEN 55W AND 74W. A SECOND MIDDLE TO UPPER LEVEL LOW
CENTER IS NEAR 28N84W IN THE NORTHEASTERN GULF WATERS.
CYCLONIC FLOW AROUND THIS FEATURE GOES FROM 23N BEYOND 32N
BETWEEN 81W AND 92W.

This has to be the weakest Depression in history.
