i am pretty sure this loop http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/goes/flt/t2/flash-vis.html went due west for at least 2 and a half hours. maybe this will be the first forecast point that she misses to the west?

dolebot_Broward_NW,

when we are talking about things being DAYS away how can we be so sure that these steering currents wont change or that the trough will weaken? I highly doubt the trough change you can now see it plain as day coming straight at irene but the steering currents could change, couldnt they? I mean this storm is still 48 hrs from the nw bahamas /

Edit: nvm just noticed a recon pic was already posted. The two VDM's show a more recent westward jog. I doubt it means much in the long run.
