Snowing like crazy here in Cincinnati. We wish it would turn into a blizzard but the northeast folks get to have all the fun I guess.....we're to recieve an inch, at best. But it sure looks impressive outside and we even heard thunder!

A good day to stay inside, get a fire going, bake some cookies, and hibernate. That afgan sure feels good Karan!

Dennis - if you're reading, we're all praying for you and your family right now.

Ugh, we got about a total of an inch too. Then the sun came out and started to melt, and then if froze again. So we don't get the fun of all the snow, but we get the nuisance of slippery streets.

We lost our Appleton KK store... No more Krispy Kremes in Appleton... however one still in Green Bay. The local bakery is far better than KK's!

I MAY have an OCM job in Rhinelander, WI at WFJW. I had my interview already... now its waiting to find out whether or not I got it. Yes, the University of Hawaii is still in my picture, maybe I can take internet (Math) classes to ease the transition over there once my (possible) year is done at Rhinelander. I'll surely pass along if I got the job!!! :D

We are gearing up for a possible snowstorm here come Wednesday/Thursday... snow will not be as much as the Nor'easter.

No news yet... last wednesday was the interview... everyone at my part time job has their fingers crossed. (in a sense they want me to get the job, but on the other hand, they don't want me to leave!).

I did a taping on Sunday night... I was not satisified with my finished product... hopefully can get another taping done this weekend (if possible). I know I can do better!

Shannon, I'm crossing everything too. You are such a perfectionist!!! I love it!!

How are you doing David?? I brought some KK's today just to tide you over for a while.

Just dropped in for a minute to bring David his KK's and heart shaped chocolate cookies with cherry icing for everyone else. Happy Valentine's Day

I'll brew a pot of Earl Grey and throw a few logs on the fire.
Have a great day everyone.

Shannon, WOW...I sooo hope you get the ocm gig...how exciting to see your dreams fullfilled! Good Luck girl!!!

Karan, my mom and I became addicted to your famous Earl Grey tea and have made it our own since our cruise together! Everyday I have at least a cup...it taste so much better in a china tea cup, doesn't it? Its the most fragrant tea...absolutely love it...thanks for the reccomendation...lol The kids love it to, and we have 3 different brands of it, trying to see which we like the best....

Happy Valentines Day everyone...hope its special for each of you!

I know what you mean Dennis, by brown tops...we have had maybe an inch on our property at Big Bear this whole freakin winter...it sucks!!! From Temecula, Looking off to where the mountains are, we're suppose to see them beautifully snowcapped...ha! Nothing...We have been in the extreme high 80's every day since I returned from my vacation in FL and my cruise...I actually have laid out in the sun and tanned....in February...doesn't make since...guess with no snow, our lakes will be dryer and we'll have to worry about an even worse fire season later in the year :(.

Have a great day, week...whatever! :O)

Going to follow Haran to the comfy sofa and sip on some warm Earl Grey....

Furry, if you don't have one, you need to get a china teapot too and a tea cozy. Boil water really hard and rinse out the china teapot with the boiling water to warm the pot. Put the tea in the pot and pour boiling water over it. If you don't have a tea cozy, take a large hand towel and cover the china pot for about 7-8 minutes. Then pour the hot tea into a china cup (with a saucer definitely). My Grandma and I used to have fantastic tea parties. She had the most beautiful bone china cups and saucers.

Everyone around here is talking about the snowstorm on Thursday. I just looked at the models (AVN/MRF/GFS) and all are pretty much agreeing on the pattern of the low pressure. Possibility of 12-18" with more in localized areas. This low is taking a bee-line straight for Lake Michigan.... meaning that the backside of the low will be in WI.... usually the backside of 'winter' lows are the worst (its like front-right quadrant in hurricanes). Over the weekend, we'll be lucky to see temps in the +teens!

No news yet about the OCM job in Rhinelander.

Update on the MIL and then back to work.

MIL was moved to a skilled nursing facility section of a local nursing home 2 minutes from our house yesterday. She is definitely improving now as opposed to it being questionable whether she was earlier. This has all been going on for a month now. It is good to finally see what we can categoruze as progress. We take it one day at a time, but things do look brighter now. That takes a lot of the stress away. If she improves enough she may end up back at her house, or she may stay in the Nursing home or some other similar facility depending on how she progresses. We still covet the prayers for her continued healing and comfort.

Thanks!! I found out tonight that she actually put clothes on today!! She hadn't had regular clothes on since she went into the hospital in Mid January. She is definitely having a better attitude too. Again, thanks everyone. Prayers are answered.

Alright, Karan - they call me silly? LOL! I drank a cup
of Earl Grey, earlier, and, I thought about you while I was enjoying
it!

David, that's wonderful news about your MIL. I'll keep those
prayers coming, as well!

Shannon, I have my fingers crossed for you! Hang in there with
the snow, as well - stop by often to warm up by the PBS!
