Re: Texas Winter 2021-2022
Its basically pure sleet with a bit of snow, NWS forecasting >.25" ice and <1" snow, seems like warm nose less pronounced so maybe won't get much ice.

I have a 100+ year old Live Oak in my yard in Richardson. 2 branches that spread almost entirely across the width and length of my house. It costs me a fortune, but I get that sucker pruned every year because of storms like this.

Any changes for Houston? Seems like our risk is less today than it was yesterday.

Still getting nothing but sleet. A few flakes may be mixing in but I can't see them at all. We must have switched to freezing rain really fast because I can't see much ice on trees or car. Sadly I'm 99% certain this will end without at least a 5 minute snow shower. Would have been cool but oh so well.

Summer's for hibernation, Winter’s my vacation
Don't use my posts as forecast, I'm a complete meteorology noob! I just like cold weather, alright?
All observations I post are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.

Getting a real good shot of snow right now. Looks like this might be the semi finale or the grand finale.

Ground mostly covered at least. I am less mad with that. Still snowing, though a bit more lightly. It DUMPED for an hour, which would have been amazing if the warm nose was weaker. But, the nice sleet bed helped it accumulate with the first flake.

Re: Texas Winter 2021-2022
Alright, snow is no longer fun for me unless I'm on weekend. My car got stuck in the parking lot at work and I had to wait for the plow to come. Had to do a lot of digging as well to get cars unstuck.

Yep looks like houston and hwy 59 will be clear. Winter weather advisory is most likely going to be removed. No models show any precip making it down to coast.

28 here. We got lucky and had only light precip during the freezing rain window. Sleet here and reports of mainly snow are very close by.

I see a lot of talking about snow, but I don't see a lot of showing the snow!
..you know, for former DFW residents who live in Los Angeles now and never experience any weather.
