Looks like we will be stuck in this pattern the rest of the summer. After looking promising for a pattern flip, ensembles look hot and dry for most of Texas.

Winter time post are almost exclusively focused on the DFW area.

I don't recall a start of July recently where it is actually comfortable to be outside to watch Fireworks.

East Coast bias.
Since they signed thr Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia it's nice up there this time of year.

I'm literally not on the East Coast, I'm in Oklahoma right now

Freakin brutal man...unfortunately I agree. Despite the seasonal models predicting a wetter summer the past few months, it just doesn't seem to be in the cards. Fall can't get here soon enough.

Some storms popping up on the edges of the metro and I can see some tall clouds starting to bubble up here in Irving. Maybe a surprise later?

Some spotty but very heavy downpours blew up in East Texas earlier this afternoon. Lots of lightning and gusty winds - knocked the power out at work. My boss had 3" of rain. I ended up with 0.06" at my house - about 3 miles away...

Storms all around me, and I hope the ones from OKC make it here.
Never got a drop of rain before 7:10 PM CDT, so annoying when they're so close to me!

Severe thunderstorms here in Grayson County and just a torrential downpour for 45+ minutes. And Sherman’s 14th annual Lights on the Lake fireworks show was canceled. Feel bad for them…

That's a bummer. It does look like a lot of rain in falling north of the metro. Not sure if it makes it to Dallas and Tarrant counties. Several cities are having their fireworks displays tonight instead of tomorrow.

Re: Texas Summer 2023
Doesn’t look like much if any rain will make it south of Collin or Denton counties, but man, it feels amazing outside now that the outflow boundary has passed through

Got a little bit of rain overnight. 0.28" to help keep the grass green.

Re: Texas Summer 2023
Hope we can get outflow to cool things off tonight since I’m sure actual rain will skip DFW again. But it’s when you want it it doesn’t happen.

Yeah can't get rid of the rain chances here now into next week when it originally looked extremely hot again. Maybe we can keep that trend
