Some of those tornadoes look pretty stout for TC spawned ones. 14-20kft debris lofting is definitely on par for EF2+ and couplets are still ramping up here and there. This is a very substantial event for NC... long night ahead

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Wind gusts got super crazy here. Tree is on the power line in our yard. Were on generator until power company gets around to us later today or when ever.

Ok, so just got home from work here in Greenville, NC. We had a band earlier in the evening around dusk, then it was pretty calm until about 11pm when it started raining again with some very minor gusts. By around 1 am when we closed it was getting a little rainy and breezy. TV news was camped out at a gas station down the street where it tends to flood. When we came back outside around 2 am after cleaning the store, conditions were significantly worse. Tropical rain and very gusty outside. Winds aren't quite making it all the way to the ground, but the tall trees are definitely dancing around. Current pressure is 1004mb (down 1 mb in the past few minutes. The eye may pass directly over us, otherwise we'll stay on the east side of the storm getting the eyewall with no break. Looks to be here in about a hour or so. Temp 76, humidity 98%. There are flash flood warnings in every county around me, and Tornado warnings are popping off quickly to the NE (towards Edenton, Elizabeth City and Norfolk, VA.)

Very major tornado just occurred near Conway, NC on the NC/VA border; huge debris signature with debris fallout on CC and PDS tornado warning with 'large and extremely dangerous' wording.

They are just non-stop popping off tornado warnings on the NC/VA border area, 4-6 active at a time.

This storm will go down in NC history. I still can't believe how fast it intensified.

These are not just your ordinary tropical tornadoes... With the help and perfect ski jump of the upper level trough.. This is going to be a Significant Tropical Tornado Outbreak, including tornadoes that are longer track and not brief.

Another very dangerous signature NW of Elizabeth City... Would not at all be shocked to see a strong tornado drop with that one any minute. What a night; I have to sleep now but it's hard to with so much going on

Strong gusts here now. Eye appears to be moving just east of Goldsboro and will pass just east of Rocky Mount, which means it will pass west of me.

Welp time to add another Hurricane to the signature. Missed out on the worst of this one but definitely some gusty winds. Still ongoing but should die down in a couple of hours or so. Looks like areas west of here got hit pretty hard. Not looking forward to see damage pictures from some of these tornadoes.

Gotta sleep now. Suffolk VA has a possible tornado moving through but hopefully they caught it in a cycle between tornadoes as a significant one was definitely down a few minutes ago... we'll see

EDIT well, Image... they definitely just got hit

First and foremost prayers to all that have been are being and will be impacted....
Not to trivialize what has already happened throughout the system life cycle so so far but what are the chances of retirement of Isaias name?
