People central and east NC could be in for a surprise tomorrow. NWS doesn't have a winter storm advisory in effect yet for most of NC.

Yeah. That’s part 3 or so.

We’ll get RDPS then ICON I think next of the easily findable models. Everything is pointing to a 3-6”+ locally more from SELA to where it comes up. So I think we’re all good. Even if y’all don’t get it like 2008 you should still get some decent totals up your way.

Recon data might change everything, but at this point I don't think so.

It could adjust some of NWS forecasts but it seems like it’s already doing more in Texas than people were thinking. So unless they can get some measurements that keep the low way south, we are good.

Yeah, looks like there's a band setting up all the way from just south of Shreveport to Monroe. Didn't see that in the models.

Yeah. One of my kids friends just hit him up from Houma with some white stuff coming down. That’s hours early.

This looks a good eight hours ahead of schedule. I expect it'll be light snowing when I get up in the morning. They were saying possible flurries in the morning and snow starting around midday.

Seems to be quite a bit more early precip than forecasted. Should see obersved totals outperform models. Flurries already near the MS/AL border along I-10.

First radar returns are here in Mobile. It'll take a while for it to reach the ground. Saw where NOLA just reported light rain and 39 degrees. Surprised me since we're at 31..guess the cloud cover kept them warmed. But, that'll change quick.

Gotta be virga in these radar returns thus far, at least on the Mississippi and Alabama coasts. I’d be very surprised if it weren’t.
