Wow, little 90L made quite the comeback, didn't he?

I wonder if we in coastal Mississippi will get much rain from this?

This is only speculation. :?:

they actually said that on-air!!!! Great, TWC is starting to act like foxnews now.

the models do have it going back south to the same place it is now or a bit further south although i think you're miss understanding what is being said here its going to continue its relative path up to central la. before taking a its southwestern turn into back towards the gulf... heres a link to couple of models all showing what is being refered to:

I was posting them in the same message rather than posting a new message every time. I'll start posting them separately again to make it less confusing.

Ok, that model plot is odd. I wonder if a storm has ever hit the same location from the same direction twice?

Looking really "ugly" outside right now. Breezy, rains are getting steady. Is it possible for Hum. to drift more to the northeast and affect SW Louisiana more than is currently talked about? Just wondering what the word and thought is out there?

Golden Triangle and SW to Central LA will get brunt of the rain. NHC will probably shift track to east of Galveston at 4PM imo.

I'm hoping we can get some VERY beneficial rains out of this... for the last 3 months the mets have been saying "a weak TS is much needed". The southward turn back into the Gulf is nuts though... Ivan repeat?

Hurricane Dennis in I think 99 hit us in NC then swung out and came back around and hit about the same spot a week later again as a hurricane.

We don't need any more rain - we're saturated as it is. My yard is so damp at the moment and I've got to cut grass soon.

I would rather be in Houston than SWLA.

Nope. Dennis only hit land once as a tropical storm. There was a tropical storm in Texas that hit land and then looped back over water, only to hit the same stretch of coast back in the 70's. I forget the name.

Is it just my eye or is Humberto hardly moving at all? And any motion appears either due north or maybe a hear east of due north.

Lastly, he's trying to become what I've been fearing all day....we need to get him in!

A nasty squall is coming ashore the Brazoria County coast. I wonder what the winds in it are.

The more the storm moves NE instead of N, the more time it will have over water. Looks sort of NNE to me now.
