I have to disagree there, AI ensembles start to bleed some of that cold air south into the US, AO is weak negative, but would like that value to drop around -3 to -4, stronger AO would definitely dislodge the cold air further south, AI ensembles also have a better - EPO signature, MJO going into 2/3 could provide some help, SE ridge will be the big player here though
