1004mb surface low now located over NW AL with trailing cold front through W AL into the Gulf of Mexico off the delta.

Severe supercells with a high tornado potential continue to develop over C and SE AL into GA and N FL and train NE across tha same locations.

Surface winds are out of the SE and even ESE over much of AL and GA then veer to S to SSW at 850mb around 30kts, to SW at 700mb at around 45kts and then WSW at 500mb around 60kts. 850mb to 500 mb veering is around 45 degrees from SC AL into N GA and nearly 90 degrees over NE GA into the Carolinas. This is resulting in SRH from 0-1km of 200 over much of AL and GA and 0-3 km of upwards of 450-500 over N GA. However the area of N GA is not within the warm sector with current temps. in the 50's. LCL's remain low around 600-800 m across all of AL, GA, and N FL with dewpoints in the mid 60's N to low 70's south.

Supercells will continue to develop in advance of the surface low and cold front over W AL through the afternoon hours along and south of the warm front from SW TN to C GA. Profiles remain favorable for strong tornadoes especially over SE AL into C and S GA and along the surface warm front.

Cells over SE AL may gradually merge into a line and sweep across GA and N FL through the evening hours.

Hey jeff, I know its a bit far north... but do you agree with SPC regarding its slight risk for the Mid-Atlantic area? I am not expecting much.. but a few severe storms near the DC region would be nice to see tomorrow...

Given the expected reformation on the surface cyclone the warm front should lift northward into the Mid ATL region early Monday with numerous thunderstorms within the "modified" warm sector over VA and NC. Threat will be mainly large hail but more likely winds with well defined bows and LEWPS.

By afternoon cold 500mb pocket will overspread the region with an increasing severe hail threat across the Mid ATL.

Slight threat is probably a good call although the number of reports and severity will not be as great as the past few days.

This weather ain't fit for the dogs! Torrential rain, lots of thunder/lightning, and gusty winds. Yard is under water.

I'm not even that concerned about severe weather now, flooding appears to be a big problem. Gotta be around 6 inches now for the storm total and still more to come.

Local mets are showing baseball sized hail in their parking lot & there is a public & police sighting of a tornado on the ground in east Montgomery, AL.

Brent, isn't this storm heading straight towards the southern part of your county? If so, start getting your family ready just in case. This storm is in an environment conducive to a long tracked tornado, even if it picks up and puts another one down, this thing is dangerous. Baseball sized hail can do some pretty hefty damage to property and life!

It's too close for comfort. It might slide into the south but I'm watching it.

I just saw some footage from local met's tower cam. There were two small tornadoes on the ground in the footage toward Tallassee, AL. That was about 35 min ago & the cell has now lost it's rotation.
Montgomery is under their second warning and the storm is creating a lot of hail.
It's going kinda crazy and it looks like the storms are lining up in such a way that the storms just keep going over the same places again & again.
