I didn't even know it went off, I was helping my dad put lights up on my roof when I see an orange glow from the clouds in the East. A few seconds later, the shuttle was coming out of the clouds and into the sky! I was like HOLY @$%$!

Crew to Inspect Wing

About 7:40 p.m. EST, the STS-116 crew members received word from the Mission Control Center in Houston that they are now scheduled to conduct an additional inspection of an area of interest on Discovery’s port (left-hand) wing. They will conduct the inspection with camera’s on the station’s robotic arm.

Leading-edge wing sensors detected a possible impact and flight controllers want to gather data with the arm’s camera. Engineers will analyze the imagery on the ground.

A Mission Status Briefing is scheduled for 9 p.m. and will be aired on NASA TV.

problems with P6 did occur in short "it didnt want to go back into its box." a 4th space walk was approved just momments ago to put it back in its box manually. all power will be restored momentarily to the ISS. this spacewalk will not end until 8:47 pm tonight. sunita Williams is currently installing the robotic arm grapple fixture. A camera has drifted away from ISS. No comments from NASA yet.

I just saw it with the space station fly over here! It moved very quickly from SW to NE and passed a little to the east. Very bright and noticeable.

no solution in the sticky P6 problem but they are working on it. I didnt realize the solar panel was either a plastic or paper until he started shaking it.

they are now sight seeing the US from 200 mile up. They spotted the Baja, el paso, chicago, the great lakes and possibly detroit.
