This discussion is political by nature. Why wouldn't we be allowed to bring politics into it? Almost every post about the NHC/Proenza deal has brought politics into it, whether it's from the right or the left... How is this not political? It is about people losing or keeping their jobs in government positions, depending on what they say to politicians. There's been testimony in front of Congress. That's political by nature, no?

No, what I am talking about is any discussions that lead to the dems or the republicans, blah, blah, blah, or Bush blah blah balh. It isn't about that!! Yes I understand the "political" nature of it all too well, but we are not going to get into that here.

Just because this is a congressional hearing, doesn't mean it has to be a "political" discussion.

Hey guys...I am back from being banned! Yay. Anyways, for clarification purposes, I want you to know that I never even mentioned "the dems or the republicans" or ever in the most subtle way brought up George W. Bush. I heartily invite you to see my previous comments. I am confused as to what I said was political in nature...I would appreciate it if someone could could clear my confusion so that I do not infuriate the storm2k admininstrators (dang, I was about to type storm2kgb by accident! :cheesy: ).

Thanks. Oh, to "philinNYC", I found your storm2kgb comment quite hilarious...obviously in a joking way, but I guess we shouldn't have any humor in this forum...some people are sensitive while others might misinterpret these joking statements.

Anyways, I hope to hear some feedback soon.

You were banned for insulting Derek again after you were warned not to. Don't try and play innocent. It does not work. Now either take the discussion back to the stated topic or you will find yourself gone for good!! Call us what you care to call us. Either you work within the rules of this site or you do not post here. It is really simple.

Banned Club?... been there, done that...Charter member. Marshall has a job to do, and rightfully so. Does he do that adequately?, Yes, very much so. Do I agree with the criteria that would negate someone's posting abilities ?, No. He's calling the shots, and if continued posting is desired, they will be adhered to. TheShrimper(Charter Member)

The following link is an interesting read about the topic of this thread that I think will be quite thought provoking: http://www.criticalmiami.com/tag/government/

Alright, I see where you are coming from. But, I really don't see where I went wrong...I do not think I am playing innocent...I do not think I insulted him by stating who he supports. I even did not mention his name when I commented "I will not name this person" just to be extra paranoidingly defensively safe to a over-sensitive issue. All I said was that I wanted to know why he supported the removal of Proenza...he probably knows more about the situation then I do so I wanted him to share his insights with me. I seriously don't see where I insulted him. If he felt insulted, then I appologize to him.

This is the last comment I make in this thread. The tropics are going to start getting active soon and I want to stop arguing for Proenza's sake...I will just take it simple and think about the law of karma I guess.

Complacency, you were not wrong. You are relatively new to this forum, and one thing is immperative, unfortunately so, that must be drilled into your head. Some contributors are held in such high acclaim, they are placed on a pedestal, that of which they can not be knocked off..even with a wrecking ball. Even though your claims are justified, ....learn that. Not wanting to be repetitive, but "Been there, Done that." TheShrimper.

No, he was wrong. The rules of this board forbid personal attacks on other members. That applies no matter who the attacked member is. In contrast to his claim above, Complacency called out Derek by name twice - the second time after he was warned.

You don't have all the facts, Shrimper. Don't assume that you do.

As the topic creator, can I ask that this be locked? We're very far off the original topic now. Thanks.
