Barry was not the result of a Tropical Wave. It was a continental vort spun off a longwave trough.

Yeah it has been there for a few hours.

A recent micrwave showed a 50 percent eyewall. That has likely closed. Ir is close.

A littlenwarm spot has been peaking in and out.

Well I have to give props to the NHC on Dorian so far, many were surprised at the hurricane forecast but Dorian sure looks well on it's way. Growing concern for what happens after the Caribbean should have things hopping around here this week. Who needs September? :lol:

What’s everyone think about the RI possibilities and it getting to Cat 2 or 3 before the DR?

If that tiny little donut sticks around for another 30 min. Nhc will likely upgrade to hurricane.
