I would be fuming!!!!

My dad had issues too, he had polyps and thankfully his turned out to be benign, but ever since the scare he has also gone back in whenever the doc told him to....his last one was a few years ago though, they said he was good for three years! I hope things continue down a good path for you!! :D

Jacki -thanks. I hope so too. I have kept a positive attitude from almost the beginning after my cancer diagnosis over 4 years ago. All the docs and nurses couldn't believe it was caught that early. It just gave me such hope and I've never lost it. I firmly believe it won't come back. And if it ever does I will run, not walk, to my doctor. That I have vowed to do. I plan on calling my docs tomorrow. This nasty doc thought he got away with a scolding. Ha, let's see about that!

Good Morning!

Seems I've been remiss in visiting the PBS lately, with all the goings on as of late, I hardly have time to sleep anymore....I know, it's MY fault and mine only, I NEED to learn to slow down!

ONE MORE DAY then OFF to Sedona for a 2 day, mini vacation, sun, fun and GOLF, GOLF, GOLF and MO' GOLF, bet ya can't tell I can't wait to play GOLF huh? I haven't picked up a club (well, I use the putter inside the house) since 30 Oct. '03......*as the crowd utters a collective* "Ahhhh, POOR, POOR Dennis, so neglected, SOOOOO mistreated, Poor thing!"

ANYWAYS...been busy as usual with work, searches, etc, ya know, the same ol', same ol' *sigh*

So Shannon, HOW MANY DAYS now till BMT? "LOL!" Just remember, "Pay attention to the FINE details!" The first 2 weeks are a BOGGER! Breaking you down from a civy to a military person, they seperate the Men from the Boys or in your case, girls from the women in the first 2 weeks. OH....better sleep as much as you can now, I guaruntee, once your in, you will NOT sleep over 4 hours per day/night...."MAYBE!"

Now that I've made pojo feel better  I need another cuppa Joe and then off to work for a few hours, then PACK, shine up the clubs, clean my shoes and load the Ram! In the words of Sponge Bob......"I'm Ready, I'm ready, I'm ready!"

FYI.... 13 days. I'm taking long showers now and sleeping in! Tuesdays I'm up at 0345 for work at 0415.... that isn't bad. I've been aware that the TI's will rip you apart in the first 2 weeks.... they want to stop the individualism that way team work will prevail. I will definitely listen to what they say and I will certainly NOT make my presence felt! thanks for the pep talk!

Miss Mary - I'm glad that you told off your doctor and that you'll be calling your other docs as well. That idiot obviously doesn't have good interpersonal skills and has a "God" complex. You've been through enough and don't need that kind of BS. :grr:

I've been thinking about you Shannon regarding your new upcoming career.

Well, the artic has finally arrived in the MidAtlantic. I'm just glad that I don't live in Montana right now!

My niece had her first basketball game last night. They won in OT 34 - 28 and she had 6 points. Her mother, Michele, Michele's friend Yvonne and I were cheering each time she made a basket. Nicole had a grin on her face but was embarrassed by us cheering for her - you know, the look "Mom"!!!!! I love going to see her play!

I hope everyone is doing well. Have a great day!

(gator walks in and prys the frozen gloves off of his hands so that he can say...)

Howdy!

It's been too long... internet issues at my *new* job have had me off-line since August. Anywho... it is a bit nippy out there in the Adirondacks. Tonight, we may even outdo last night as the air temp is -30F and the wind is still pretty brisk in these parts. It's good to see that all the old familiar faces are still around! :) Shannon, it looks like I caught you just in time too! Boot camp?!?!? The armed forces will never be the same again ;)

Well... I think I'll just camp out inside tonight... hopefully I haven't lost all the feeling in my extremeties... we've been spoiled with mild temperatures until those Arctic Blasts hit us earlier in the week... *grumble* *grumble*

How is everyone doing these days? Now that my internet is working again *knocks on wood* I hope to be around s2k a bit more regularly... after all... I don't want to drop off the face of the earth like Shannon is going to... ;) j/k!

more to come later... :)

- gator. :)

Welcome back Gator - glad to see you stopped by the PBS - just the place to warm up those frozen hands.

Hope to see you around the boards now!! Again - welcome back.

My computer is one pain, but I REFUSE to go through another 3 months away from my second family at S2K- that was NO fun! Glad you are back Gator!!

Still sick....while I feel a wee bit better each day - and haven't lost any lunch since Wednesday night (like you wanted to know)- I still can't eat, and am sore as all heck!! I think I'm really gonna have to learn how to take a needle, I would rather be in pain for a day than go through this again any time soon- this is the first time the flu has gotten me since I was in grade school! Oh well...enough whino for me, back to hold down the couch...

Man, I swear this day is never going to end. Its only 4:00 here and it seems like it should be 7:00. I guess I should look on the bright side, I only have 2 hrs to go for the day instead of the 12 I started out with....lol
Hope you are all having a good Friday. Maybe I'll see ya in the bar tomorrow night...lol

Good Evening Friends!

Gator - Welcome back!!!

Jackie - I hope that you do feel better soon. I read in the paper this morning that they think that the flu has "peaked". Let's put it this way, I think 47 out 50 states were considered to have it "widespread" as of last week. I certainly hope that it has!

Karan - you know your daughter did appreciate the cheer, like I know my niece did. I bet that I would've felt the same way when I was her age!

White chocolate cheese cake??? OMG - it looks yummy!! Thanks!

My friends and I have pretty much decided that we'll probably be heading for Ft. Lauderdale at the end of March. One of my friends, Rita, has been down there many times so she knows her way around the strip. We'll be renting a condo and flying on Spirit Airlines from the Atlantic City airport. I've never been there before so this will be nice!

I am so looking forward to this weekend - sleep in and NO PARTIES to go to! I love all of the celebrating that's done during the holidays, but I just want to feel like I don't have to do anything this weekend. The Eagles playoff game is late Sunday afternoon so you know I'll be watching that.

Hello to everyone and I hope you all have a wonderful evening! :D

To our friends in the cold country...hope you are staying warm and traveling safely these days. There are a ton of visitors from the northland in Phoenix these days...if you judged what state this was by the license plates on the cars, you would swear it is Minnesota! After a chill spell of our own over the holidays, it has surely turned nice the last few days.

Coffee is extra good this morning, though, and I have a mighty big pot. Will be making a dozen fresh blueberry muffins here shortly, so you are welcome to join me at the table.

Could you make some chocolate chip muffins while you're at it? I refuse to be bound to my diet on the weekends! And is anyone making hot cocoa?????

YUM!! Those muffins smell GOOD!

It's 21 degrees at my house - a relative heat wave compared to this time yesterday when it was around 10 degrees.

We're all gearing up for the Eagles to play Green Bay today later this afternoon. I bought some roast beef potato salad and cole slaw yesterday for dinner. Marty's sons will be here with us.

Those were some awesome games yesterday - the Panthers vs. the Rams was so hard to watch at the end. I wasn't on the edge of my seat - I was standing up!

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday! :D

Sometimes I wish Minnesota was down there by Phoenix. Oh, well, you'll be talking like one of us soon, as us northerners slowly take over the south...lol

I can't believe that you've been sick again Ticka! I hope that's the end of it for you.

Sorry Kelly that it wasn't the real "white stuff"!
