The map of the streets for Barker is here

Good luck to them.

I've got the map and see their street. I'm just trying to find out if their home is one that will be affected by the controlled release. Apparently not all of the homes will be. Thanks.

The main band is currently directly over the radar site now. You can see the ZR drop off from it moving overhead.

I know that here (Beaumont/Pt Arthur) area, they have gone door-to-door telling people to evacuate before. So, if those areas don't have power and they are passable (which they should be if they are telling people to evacuate), I'm sure they'll do something similar.

I missed it. All these have been heart breaking. They just rescued someone from a car on the Katy Frwy that had been stranded for a long time.

I saw that too. Amazing there was someone in that vehicle. Lucky to be alive for sure after being rescued.

A couple rescued by the fd had to leave behind 5 dogs, and now found out they could have brought them, when they were told they couldn't. And they can't go back to get them. Just awful!

Judge Robert Hebert Fort Bend County, on the phone with abc13.com right now. Expecting a 600 year flood by tomorrow night... last year they had a 200 year flood...where 15 % of the entire county was under water...they have no idea what to expect with this. He is suspecting 35 to 40 percent of the county flooded.

Wow. I hope it doesn't come to fruition.

If one of the pro mets or veteran S2krs could explain what I am seeing with skinny long band from Galveston down to Brownsville I would appreciate it. It almost looks as if the storm is transitioning into type of hybrid.

I know the center of circulation is nearing the coast. It has become harder to see on the radar site I use. Is there a image or a loop that shows it clearly. Thanks.

Mandatory evacuation for Bay City Tx. 10' of water expected in downtown from the Colorado river. Add this to the mandatory evacuation in Brazoria county for the Brazos and San Bernard. Harvey has the coastal counties pretty much shut down.

the longer it stays over land and the convection focused away from the center the more likely what is happeing is a transition to a hybrid system. all the models and the phase transitions all keep it tropical but its not unsual for TC's to develop long bands of convergence especially the north they are. just have to watch and see of it develops convection around the center when it gets offshore.

Thank you Aric. I noticed on the new intensity forecast the many of the models now show strengthening even more than a mid level TS. Lets hope not.

im starting to wonder if we get a refomation well offshore.. there is a lot of wind that is in a low friction offshore vs on shore with the circ. simple fluid dynamics would suggest the possibilty..
