Good Morning!

At least me *thinks* it's gonna be a good day, we have a wind advisory posted already :grr: winds are suppose to be sustained at 30-35 with gusts over 45 AGAIN :grr: :grr: :grr: WITH SNOW tonight *heavy sigh*, is spring EVER gonna get here??????

Wasn't around too much yesterday, great thing about owning your own business, WE get to pick our work schedule  We're working 4/10's now, giving us a 3 day weekend WAAAAAHOOOOOO :D Went to Gallup New, Mexico yesterday, closest shopping to us aside from Flagstaff, had a GREAT day!

Well, I'm gonna go find some ROCKS for my pockets, tie down the vehicles, dogs, trash can, anything else that MIGHT blow away and then SIT inside and let it BLOW :grr:

Enjoy the cruise Shannon. You always do, I know. I love the stories about the cruisemates you meet on the ship!

Ticka...I asked about your location because our friends from IL work at those places. In fact, Jerry is CEO of Conroe and his wife Karla works at the other medical facility. They seem to enjoy the Houston area a lot.

I've discovered a really good buddy from Vietnam who lives on the west side of Houston, too. Don't know exactly where, but I could find out. Took 33 years for us to find each other!

My dad is 88 today...just called to wish him a happy birthday. Seems strange to me that my mom has been gone for 32 years of his life and that his second wife and he have been married for almost 30 years already!

He's in great health for 88. Golfs 100 rounds (9 holes) every summer WITHOUT a cart. Claims that if he hits that 100 rounds, it ends up costing him #.30 a hole for the entire summer. He didn't even pick up a golf club until he was 63!

That means I have a few years left before I get started with that pasttime.

Have a nice Saturday everyone. Hang on to your hat there Dennis!

Sheesh, looks like we need to pack some rain gear....hope you'll venture out in the storm anyway...we have no choice...lol. Never had a rainy cruise, but unfortunatly it looks like this may be our forecast. If I don't get a chance to post again, ahve a wonderful week everyone...(HUGS)

Think I'll go inside for awhile, crank the AC down and turn on the ceiling fans. Sunny & hot here 89*.

Don't know what the gas smell was last night but I'm still here! No asphyxiation (sp?) or exploxions and the mysterious gas smell is gone.

Gotta get something to catch those darn armadillos though. Routed all throught the front yard leaving little holes all over!

Hope to see all of you in chat tonight.

I can actually post without peeping eyes!

Anyways, the OSB is up on the garage roof (I was part of the roof monkey team today) As our site supervisor put it today...I was playing with the little guys and not the big boys (big boys is referring to the house roof which is 45* angle). The house OSB is almost finished...only a couple more layers to do. We also used the pneumatic nailer...Power!!! :D :D I'm surprised I'm not sunburned from being on the roof today...it was quite warm up there!

OMG...only 6 days of classes left!!!! :o :o then finals start on the 16th for me. Hopefully 2 on the 16th (I have to try to schedule one for the 16th) and then 2 on the 19th. :o :o

I tried accessing chat today and it would not let me...I'm not really sure what the problem was, but it said the server was unavailable.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone :D

Roof monkeys and armadillos...quite a combination in these last few posts. CajunMama...if you see our pet armadillo Slowpoke out there in your yard, you will recognize him right away. He's wearing a Krispy Kreme cap on his back!

Hey Pojo...I need a roof monkey down here to do a little painting for me. If I run an ad in the local paper for a roof monkey...wonder what kind of response I'll get!

Kathy and I were in Chandler today having lunch with a lifelong friend of mine and his wife. Former Illinoisians, they have retired in SE Phoenix.

Had some serious laughs...didn't recognize them when we went into the restaurant. We were looking for young-looking folks (haven't seen them in about 8 years), so all that white hair fooled us!

We'll catch up with them again sometime...but during those couple of hours we had a great time. Nice being able to eat outside on the restaurant patio on a Saturday afternoon too.

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Happy birthday Granddaddy Poppysky!!!

A bonfire!! Raine it has been years since I've sat around a good bonfire. Have fun with your friends!!

Poppysky, I had forgotten about Slowpoke!!! Has anyone found him? Still searching for Clarabelle too. Haven't seen her in a while!! If they were visiting Dennis they may have been blown off the mountain!! :o

Well, now we are in full swing remodeling the 1st bathroom!! Meanwhile I am supposed to be powerwashing the house to ready it for painting!!! No rest for the weary!!! With a straw boss like my daughter I'll have the projects finished before I start them!!! She does not understand the concept of old people needing to rest occasionally!

Everyone else that have not mentioned personally have a Blessed Sunday and Awesome week!!

Speaking of rest I am ZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz!

Good Morning!

WHEW! Whatta day THAT was, the winds, I swear, just keep getting stronger with each passing day, had a peak gust here at the house of 64 around 1600 hrs, just checked NOAA and the NAFD, winds are suppose to continue for the REST of the WEEK  AH WELL, can't do nuthin' about it :D

NO SNOW :D A little spritz of rain at 0200 this morning, followed by a clap of thunder that would've raised the dead :o we had 2 dogs in the middle of the bed shortly after that clap, some guard dogs

Don't know if we're going to His house or not, the winds not howling YET and the lawn needs mowing BAAAAAD, we'll see. Anyways, the papers here and I need another cuppa Joe. Make it a GREAT day would ya's?

Now that's a mouthful...granddaddy poppysky! Actually, he's greatgranddaddypoppysky!

Looks like a great day for the first Sunday in May here. Breezy, I'm sure, but temps only to 83 or so. That's a bargain. We could be 100+ by the time we return from Illinois on the 14th! Leaving on Wed.

I'll have my laptop along, so will be keeping in touch during the trip.

Heading out for my stroll to, and through, the park down the way. Checking out the early Sunday AM horse riders. There were three "gal buckaroos" practicing riding and lasoo-ing when I strolled by on Thursday night. No moving targets for them to rope, however. And their rope was not long enough to reach over the fence to me!

Besides, Kathy did that more than 32 years ago to me!

Enjoy the day.

Morning everyone. Like I mentioned in the USA Weather Section I will not be online for much of the day. Our area is under a *high* risk of svr. storms including long lasting, violent tornadoes. I am heading over to my mom's shortly to watch the storms and have a basement if necessary.

I hope to be back on this evening once the storms pass. Everyone have a great Sunday. I'll be keeping an eye to the sky!

Another hot day here in central Florida. Currently at 93 degrees!

I hope everything went fine this afternoon, Garrett. Let us know what happened in and around your area today. :)

Dennis, I wish you luck with the fire season. Too bad the rains wouldn't come sooner.

Not much else going on. I hope everyone has a great rest of their Sunday and a wonderful week. See everyone around. :D

Good morning to all those on the porch this Monday. I think I'll park my derriere in this chairriere with my cup of tea and veg out for a time. Just give me a little nudge if I start snoring too loudly.

The last wave of storms passed through about 45 mins ago. Beautiful but muggy sunshine streaming in, just what we need to destabilize the lower levels again.

Have a happy day!

Good luck Shannon on finishing your classes! :D Hope you get A's on your finals! :D

All is well here, it's been chilly here *YOU DARN EASTERNERS ARE STEALING MY WARM WEATHER :P *, and we saw 1.13" of rain on Friday night and Saturday.

Did I post my story about the adventure I had Saturday night buying computer accessories? :?: I can't remember.

Things are well here, just working on a few things on my end. Tomorrow I will be on late since I have a doctor's appointment at 2:30 PM my time. ;)
