We got flurries and sleet STICKING over here in West end of Beaumont. I was predicting 5-8" since yesterday... Something tells me it could be more than expected :ggreen: it's arriving way earlier

Sure does look more and more like the HRRR and RAP models are too dry this evening. They both don't have any signs of precip across central or north TX for the next few hours.

Yeah, I already have sleet/graupel sticking to surfaces here (The Woodlands). According to HRRR, rainfall starts in an hour and stays as rain for several hours…. Yeah, that’s not happening

Quite a few pings now from Tarrant county. Crazy that dewpoint at DFW airport is 0.

What had me convinced today was the humidity model, I think it was the GFS. Had a big blob come in about 7:00 to 8:00 p.m and it pushed the dry air out, With a parked dark blue blob over SETX for quite awhile. Seems about right on schedule.

Getting absolutely nothing so far in SV northwest of New Braunfels. Think it’s just too dry at the lower levels. Congrats to our SETX folks!

Sleeting here in northwest Houston. SA and Austin's best chance of seeing snow/ice should occur later this evening into early tomorrow morning. Too early to give up hope over there.

I'm more optimistic about us in southeast TX seeing what's happening already this evening.

Radar is showing the heavier drizzle/sleet/flurries is starting to edge into the Austin area. Fingers crossed.

Still getting graupel in Temple but the ground is covered in it. The soil should already be at freezing so if we get a switchover to snow it should all stick

Snow in Texas, 8th wonder of the World

Don't use my posts as forecast; I'm not a licensed meteorologist! I just endorse cold weather, alright?

All observations I note are for Temple, Texas unless otherwise stated.
