So here is my official snow report from La Casa located in Kennedale. Received 2.5" of a fine snow, to dry to build me an O'loff. Currently there is a light freezing drizzle falling. Temp is 25 outside and a cozy 74 inside by the fireplace.

Measured 4 inches of snow, and who knows what's going to happen tonight.

Conditions across the Hill Country have deteriorated rapidly. Icing very bad in many areas with tons of accidents. Some of the elevated bridges/roads in far north and northwest Travis County are being shutdown. It's 30 with drizzle here at the PWC. If this keeps up it won't be long before some real icing occurs.

I admit to being surprised temps aren't a little warmer.

Snow really picking up here. Small flakes but getting heavier.

That's what we get for living in the freezing drizzle capital of the world.

Did the forecast call for your area to be above freezing right now?

Light snow going pretty good now, radar shows Ft Worth may be getting more moderate snow.

How can anyone be reporting freezing rain. Isn't it way too cold for that? The mid layer would have to have a very large warm layer and I don't think that could happen so quickly

Odd flurry here and there, but snow stopped here not too long after dark. Looking at the radar, looks like we may get something in the next couple of hours if it holds together and keeps moving in this direction.

I live on the northern border of Parker and Tarrant County line. I'm sitting on the couch with the family and decided to check back in the forum for updates, I read this message and jumped up to run outside to find the snow falling again. So yes, I can accurately verify that.

@roundrockpolice - #RRTraffic All of WB SH45 is closed in #RoundRock due to ice. We are responding to more than 10 accidents. Avoid the toll roads & bridges.

the 2.3" of snow in my rain gauge melted to 0.16". That's a pretty good ratio for TX snow.

That road freezes up more than any other around here - so much of it is elevated
