Record report should come out sometime later but officially DFW received 2.0 inches of snow today. Record. The high of 30 (after midnight) Record. Though the afternoon high was really 27F.

Well it has been snowing more because the street and sidewalk has a dusting and they were just wet before sunset...

There was also snow flurries and it felt like some drizzle falling just then

Nothing I love more than a peaceful eerie snow covered night either

Not sure what the image guidelines are here and I couldn't find the info so I'll try not to suck up all the bandwidth with too many. Moderators (looking at YOU, Port A) feel free to edit/delete as necessary.

I should mention all these images were taken around 2:00pm. Had about 3.5" by then. Sorry about the lack of focus, BTW. It was a real problem with the falling snow. :/

Little larger for (marginal) detail...

A White-wing, a mourning dove, two phoebes, two cardinal hens and a cardinal rooster. They were hungry today. Went through about 5 lbs of feed.

It's my second winter in Sherman.I was raised in SA and lived in Houston most of my adult life - hence "STX". I had already moved to Houston when they got the '85 Snowbomb back home so this is amazing to me. Never seen anything like it outside a ski trip.

Currently at our house it's 31. No precipitation right now that I could feel, but the drizzle earlier has left our cars covered in a sheet of ice. Parts of various tollways are closed.

There was very fine drizzle falling earlier. Enough to coat the outdoor furniture, plants, and trees. 30 degrees.

Drizzling here in Jacksonville in ETX. We're hovering right around 32F but nothing freezing yet. Hopefully we can manage to stay slightly above freezing.

Austin temps are falling into the upper 20's and a steady mist is moving in, road conditions will continue to deteriorate.

Not a bad way to end February. Every state except Florida (and maybe Hawaii?) has snow on the ground.

06Z GFS shows the front coming in early Wed with almost all precip ahead of the front. The GGEM is slower abd shows precip developing behind the front in sub freezing air Wednesday night.
