It is really coming down here by the airport. And just like in 2011 it is sticking to the roads and pavement first! Stuck like glue the moment it hit.

Saw a school bus zipping right by it, caught it!

Looks like small snow grains, which are partially-melted snowflakes. They appear to be falling from the mid-level cloud deck, passing through the warm nose and partially melting, then reaching a freezing layer just above the ground and re-freezing before finally reaching the ground as little balls of ice with a lower density than sleet. Not quite graupel.

Precip area has moved on by now. Nothing more coming from the west.

Yes, seems to be coming to an end. I do still have some very light precip falling here though...

Looks like I might miss out on this "event" by about 15-20 miles. What a shame!

Hopefully the storm next week brings us snow and not freezing rain. I've had enough freezing rain.

You really are that close! It's amazing the grass is just a dusting by everything non vegetation is has a white cover and the wind is blowing it around.

Thanks for rubbing it in! No, I am kidding. It's nice to know that someone is enjoying this stuff. It's not often our area gets to see snow like this.

light snow in Huntsville, TX.

Didn't even expect it, woke up to a nice surprise. Hope the roads remain good, as I have to drive to work in a few hours, but this even looks short lived at best. :froze:

Really dry powdery snow blowing around everywhere here in north Ft Worth. Seems to be accumulating faster on pavement than in the grass! Some of the roads on my way in to work were a little slick so everyone be careful driving this morning. Here is a picture from the parking lot at my work.

Snow is heavy in FTW, and it's starting to pack on the side streets and getting really slick. :froze:

Just talked to my son in Huntsville and he said that it just went from sleet and heavy snow. Also, he said will they were doing PT it was sleeting the whole time.
