From Steve McCauley

Snow is more impressive than earlier thought so we can expect a dusting to one inch of fine powdery snow! And I am stuck in an all day meeting:(

Seriously was not prepared for my commute in this morning. Im in far north Dallas, work in Dallas, so I have to travel south to get to work. Usually takes about 40 miutes.

After 90 minutes, i had gotten about 4 miles and saw 7 accidents, and dozens of people skidding around, before I gave up, jumped a medium in stand still traffic and went back home.

Bob Goosman (KRLD) also just mentioned the radar returns around Abilene. Said snow through mid-day for metroplex and backed his forecast high to mid 20's.

You and orangeblood called it! Even the great Steve McCauley was wrong on this one!

How does it feel, Ntxw? Knowing you outperformed, Steve?

Interesting that the WWA out west calls for a band of 1-2 inches from Cisco to Mineral Wells to North Fort Worth.

Lol. Steve is a great guy. We are in grad school together, but, yes, he is cautious at times.
I must say, NTXW did super well with this system--he always does :)

Are you kidding me? You bet in a dry slot ... a 10-year, freaking dry slot. :grr:

It ain't whining if it's true. Austin got the shaft again. I have not seen one single snowflake the entire winter season. PWC is seriously considering packing it up and moving on.

I'm happy for the rest of you. Even North Texas who -- as recent as several days ago -- really wasn't supposed to get in much on this action ended up with snow. Austin is cursed.

I'm fine with that. Since it's never going to snow again in Austin, it might as well be 80 or 90 and sunny. Give me a thunderstorm every few days and I'm ready to join you.
