If the 1st wave does develop, it seems like it will, in part, come from the interaction with the ITCZ and not the feature further north that some have mentioned. It could be a similar process as 93L but with more favorable conditions and a more south, westward track. Again, things remain highly uncertain.

Looking at NOGAPS, doesn't look like either one of these systems will be the origin of the Storm it develops. The 1005mb Low that is currently over Africa moves out over into the Atlantic and overtakes both of these systems, IMO.

The models seem to merge both areas, the newest test invest does seem to get dragged back east a little bit as the other system heads west...and then develops the merger type system.

The Vort from the wave we are watching races ahead whilst the system ahead starts to develop, so it would probably be a fusion of sorts of 30/31.
Cycloneye watch the Vort near the CV islands at 48hrs:
