That tiny eye reminds me of a certain W storm. Luckily it's not as pink as the one in the image below (yet).

They went with 95 kt on the advisory. Forecast peak of 120 kt.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

When even the NHC, who are (for very understandable reasons) usually relatively conservative with RI systems, up their predicted peak to 140 mph you know it's about to go down.

Also notice how the latest forecast doesn't show landfall until 7AM on Tuesday. That still gives it 21 hours until landfall (if I'm correctly assuming that it's all in EST time).

What’s scary is that NHC has the cone as wide as past the Islands of Nicaragua. Which means that in some regard this has a possibility of not being inland for long.

At this rate, recon is probably going to find a sub-940 mbar Category 4 when they finally arrive. Eta seems almost guaranteed to become a Category 5 at this rate — only the second ever recorded in November.
