The center of Humberto missed me by at least 200 feet. LOL!

I agree but coming from the NHC I assume they know something we don't.

Probably making sure people don't get their guards down. We know these systems perform better at night. I don't know.

That is their main mission, to protect the public. However, winds aloft to surface conversion is only valid in the eyewall of a non-sheared system. Cannot use Doppler winds at 10,000 ft to estimate surface winds if there is shearing. Stewart likely knows that, but doesn't want the public to relax.

A little more than 3 inches at my house so far today we will see how much rain I get tonight but it would not surprise me at all to reach 10 inches today or even more considering I am close to the coast.

I am thinking landfall at San Luis Pass. I think that is Galveston county.

I am by no means a professional. DO NOT look at my forecasts for official information or make decisions based on what I post.

Goal: to become a registered expert over tropical and subtropical cyclones.

Yikes. Houston is still going to get some nasty weather with those blowups.

If it keeps on current heading, it will hit land at Matagorda Bay or just east (northeast).
