The trend hasn't been the friend today. Lighter precip with most of it outrunnig the colder air. The 18Z NAM holds on to it a little, but the GFS completely drops it.

It looks like all models show GA getting an inch or two tomorrow night/Sunday morning, with maybe a dusting reaching the coast around the Destin area. Maybe a few flakes this way?
Both the GFS and Euro show a frigid air mass dropping down near the end of the month. :froze:

The FL Panhandle is back in play tonight. The 06Z GFS (lol) shows 5-7 inches and NAM 2". Not quite sure why Pivotal and Tidbits show different amts. All the other models show lesser amts but same area. Ivan, looks like you're right on the edge.

Typical. I just got through accepting the fact that it wasn't happening and now the gfs wants to tease us

The 2nd system at the end of the month is intriguing because last year, we cashed in on the 2nd system after the bust the week before

NWS upped us in the forecast but didn’t put us under an advisory yet. Probably later.

Tonight
Rain showers before 5am, then snow showers likely. Low around 33. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Sunday
A slight chance of snow showers before 7am, then a slight chance of sleet between 7am and 9am. Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 49. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

The Panhandle is looking good. The HRR is now picking up on it. I'd settle for just a few flakes this far west though. I'm on the very western edge where lots of dry air will be coming in as precip ends. Could be that Baldwin gets an inch and Mobile gets zilch. Fun to watch though.

If the Gfs is to be believed. We are headed into a very active pattern with the southern jet giving multiple rounds of winter wx.

The models are showing some -40F temps across the Canadian border toward the end of the month with multiple shots sinking across, with increased snow cover to limit modification. I might not get much tonight, but winter is far from over. If the southern jet phases...game on.

Same here Jag. Just light and not sticking with everything being too warm. Nothing like last year but pretty cool nonetheless!

Flurries mixed with rain, nothing sticking. This would’ve been more exciting prior to last year. lol

Slightly take that back, almost entirely snow now and dusting occurring.
