Upper-level vort max is coming through...looks like some instability in the low-levels of the soundings---enough to kick off flurries/sleet/rain.

THIS is why i love this forum!
Also, its really good to read up on the last couple of pages and see that a lot of the posters here that really care about getting some wintry precip got to see some. Even if thats all ot was. Its almost like a win win for a LOT of Texans...except for DFW breaking a record (knocking on wood waiting for next weekend!!!).
My focus is now on you guys up north. My winter has been a success..............FINALLY!!11!!
oh, and a farmer buddy of mine had ~7 in. south of Golinda in Falls Co.. Truely remarkable...and too wet.

I've been getting sleet off and on for a while now, going back and forth between sleet and rain. Then a little while ago, snow started mixing in. Nothing to write home about, to be sure. lol
Meanwhile, NWS updated their grids and get this: 80% snow tonight. No rain/snow mix. Just snow. hmmm - it looks like the precip is ending soon though. Current temp 33. Maybe some more will build... its finally cold enough!
Tonight: Snow, mainly before midnight. Low around 33. North wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

radar-wise the center of the Low appears directly over my area and the local met says light snow will continue up to a half an inch..max. which would be enough to keep the roads wet enough to refreeze. however, when i walked outside its nothing but rain.
But, i saw the moon 30 mins ago. radiational cooling should commence briefly. sqeezing out every last bit of moisture!

light snow again here in Tomball as well. Looking further off to the northwest, looks like more light stuff coming down this way.
