I am in Boca Raton right now. Over the past hour or so, the winds have been picking up and some dark clouds are coming in.

It looks like SFL is going to get more than expected from this.

Wow. That is a big chunk of rain there. On radar, it looks like it is spreading SE a little.

That outflow feathering over Florida reminds me of a cyclone outflow. Maybe the system has some power.

The state's motto still lives in the western corner of the panhandle and parts of South Florida.

There is no comparison to a TC. The outflow is entirely related to non-severe SHRA associated with a shortwave trough (non-tropical system!) in March. There's no low-level circulation or concentrated area of low pressure (SLP).

Instability is minimal, preventing severe wx.

What really interests me is not this rain episode for Florida but the possible Gulf storm developing later this week and if the EURO is correct it looks to be a major storm that develops and deepens as it heads up The Eastern Seaboard.

The winds are strong and gusty, gusting over 30 mph with the showers
that are moving through.

I've been watching that. The warm front (current cold front) and a low will be interesting later this week.
