Drove home in those storms. Wasn't the worst - but it wasn't fun.
Starting to slack up here now but it looks like more is coming.

Could today's weather stabilize tomorrow's possible strong/severe event?

In the western extent of the blob there is a red blob (great terminology, right? :P ). To me it looks like it was rotating. Anyone else notice?

This weather is very similar to what we experience in early summer; like June.
Upper winds and sea breeze convergence bringing PM thunderstorms to Eastern sections.
Then when summer gets really going, these storms move TO the West or stay inland rather than moving from the Southwest or West.
I remember this happening even in May.
Not usually March though..

Just checked the rain gauge - just over 1/10. Wish all that rain I drove through had dumped on my yard!

They are still talking about possible severe weather tomorrow night on TV.

One little shower today. The leaves of the trees said "hello" to the rain, the roots didn't even notice a change in the soils humidity!!!

My rain gauge recorded 0.02 inches.

Same here.. it looked like it was going to really storm but just a quick shower so far. More rain off the West Coast heading inland so the rain chances aren't done for today.

Looks like the activity is weakening as it comes on shore here. We got a decent bit of precip today though :cheesy:

Hey Rainband!

Figured you got more than me since you are closer to the coast.

Look out tomorrow night!

I was watching Dennis and he said the northern half of the state will get the worst of it. Said we may get some pea size hail and some strong winds... I close tommorow, so hopefully when I am driving home at 3am, it wont be that bad. I hate driving in the rain. :(

Those stripes of rain on the radar are kind of neat.
