Re: Why do my current conditions read.....
All I know is that the ACTUAL conditions at around rush hour created road closures of I-95, I-295, the Commodore Barry Bridge, 35 mile per hour speed restriction of the total length of the NJ Turnpike and DOZENS of accidents.
I drove 55 miles per hour on the AC Expressway and had people passing me.
It's a figgin' ice skating rink out there!
Fortunately, this will change to rain over night tonight.
I also just noticed that my car has slid down my driveway to the street.
It's not the first time after an ice event. At least I live in a court!

A 20 minute ride took an hour and a half to the night job. I left the night job at 9 and just got home-it's a frigging mess out here in Philly! And some idiot flew by me, I had my window open a little and I got slushed!!!!

non-augmented ASOS sites cannot identify sleet. It is either mislabeled as a different precip or reported as UP. Stations with manual observers can override this report to change the precip type to IP.
