Songs you LOVE to HATE!

Every once in a while, a song will come out that I can't STAND! Why is it the songs you LOVE to HATE STICK in your mind and that's ALL you hear all day long??? :roll:

One song in particular, I don't really dislike this song but DANG IT....it's there ALL the time, the song?? "If I only Had a Brain!" "LOL!" Any songs you love to hate??

How about "Good Morning Beautiful, how was your night? Mine was wonderful with you by my side." Grr... I used to kind of like that song until I heard from the artist that was written about an affair. :roll:

Funny thread!!! We have a classic rock station in Cincy, that has never stopped playing certain songs or artists.....Stairway to Heaven, Jethro Toll (sp?), Pink Floyd. I swear Dark Side has been in heavy rotation since it was recorded!!! Now you all know why I prefer new alternative music!!!! You flip to this station and I swear if you wait long enough, you'll hear Stairway to Heaven. These songs were fine in their hay day, but they've been worn out here in Cincinnati. And to think Stairway was my Senior Prom theme/song......ugh!!!!

I was soooooh mad when Randy Newman released "Short People" in the 1970's :grrr:

Being short statured was already tough enough without a tall singer crooning:

"Take My Breath Away" from Top Gun. Hated it then, hate it now.

Anything by Lionel Richie. His songs got overplayed back in the 80's. So even though it's been forever since I've heard most of them, I go "barf" when I hear one somewhere for some reason being played.
