Another holiday time waster......

#1 Postby weathermom » Tue Dec 16, 2008 7:27 am

Does anyone remember this site?

http://snowflakes.barkleyus.com/

I have wasted a lot of time here that should have been spent wrapping, decorating etc.

Cool site, took me a minute to get the scissors working right but then got stuck playing for a good 10 minutes. Maybe my kids will like this instead of leaving millions of little tiny pieces of paper all over my floor. :P

My first 2 flakes.

Some of those in the gallery are amazing.

I think I'm scissor challenged. And, I think I made the world's smallest snowflake!

Flake number 18830069 if you care to look.

Okay that one is way more addicting than the other one. I like reading the comments of others.
Surprisingly I have been playing with it for about 30 minutes and haven't ready any nasty or mean
comments. That makes me HAPPY. :D LOL I guess not many nasty people like making snowflakes. he he

I remember this one too. It is easier to cut than with the scissors! However....I am somewhat of a snowflake purist.... and this site lets you cheat. It lets you cut out sections that in a traditional paper snowflake would cause half your snowflake to fall away. Any of the flakes that have pieces that are unattached to the rest of the flake really shouldn't be possible.

But that won't stop me from making flakes there!! It is also easier to view the other flakes, I like the format, with them falling as flakes instead of lined up six at a time.

Great! Another place to waste what little time is left before christmas!!

I just want to comment that if I were a hacker, wanting to get access to your computer, I would design a compelling, "fun" thing to attact people to my website and malware access. Not saying this one is bad, just saying there is always a risk. Might do well to check out first with a search engine to see if anything written about it, before accessing it with low or medium security settings on your browser.
