Dr. Beven needs some coffee or a day off:

WSR-88D DATA FROM BROWNSVILLE INDICATES THAT CLAUDETTE HAS DEVELOPED A ROUGHLY 30 NM WIDE EYE WITH ASYMMETRIC SURROUNDING CONVECTION MAINLY IN THE WESTERN SEMICIRCLE.

Claudette...Erika...Texas...it's all the same :D

Hmmm, Avila did that the day before regarding a special tropical disturbance statement with the incorrect date (July 25th, 2003 instead of August 13th).

Avila did the same thing when Claudette was approaching, making the error of calling Claudette Bill. Well though we should give them a break, can you imagine how busy they must be when a storm is approaching the coast.
