THANK YOU STORM2K

#1 Postby Bailey1777 » Wed May 06, 2009 1:22 pm

Just wanted to take the time to say thank you to Storm2k and it's members. This site was invaluable to my family and me before during and after hurricane Ike. We are all so fortunate to be able to get everything this site offers free of charge. I am personally sending a donation in appreciation and I would like other's to follow, even a dollar help's I'm sure.

Thank you again,
Darren

P.S. When it is your turn to get one of these systems you will understand what I mean. We need them around.

Even though I am a long time member and an Administrator on this site, I have to second your comments Bailey. I felt much better in control knowing I could come here as long as I had electricity and find the latest information and know it was correct information(yes even on S2K one has to still remember that what we offer is not official)because we have some very good pro-mets on board who are more than willing to offer their expertise. I even emailed a local reporter for BS reporting just prior to the storm(literally putting out false info)and asked that they correct it. They finally did(I have no idea if I had anything to do with it). But it makes me feel more secure knowing I have this resource available 24/7/365. So even from me I say Thanks S2K. To top it off I had my "family" at S2K calling to check on us as soon as someone could get through.
I also back up Rainband. It does make us feel very good that our efforts here are appreciated and helpful. If we have helped save one life or helped someone make proper decisions during a storm then our efforts have been successful.
