If my memory serves me correctly, the tornado struck at around 1AM. Nocturnal tornadoes are almost always deadlier. Did Barneveld receive adequate warning for the tornado - i.e. were sirens sounded in ample lead time? Also, was any damage done by the tornado in any of the other towns such as Black Earth, WI? I remember seeing a radar image of the storm that spawned the tornado on a documentary on YouTube, I also read that the storm occurred near the end of a larger outbreak that also produced an F4 tornado that tracked 134 miles through northern Missouri and into Iowa.
