30 year reunion

#1 Postby george_r_1961 » Sat Jul 11, 2009 9:53 pm

Yep im going :D It will be the first class reunion ive been to and ive had little or no contact with most of my former classmates. The skinny teenager that was me in the late 70's is now a fat gray balding guy with earrings :cheesy:

Im looking forward to it. Im sure we all will have some interesting stories to tell. For your entertainment I have posted a recent pic of me, and one from summer of 1978 when my senior year yearbook picture was taken 8-)

Gee, there is a remarkable resemblance between those two guys! I wonder why? :cheesy: My 40th is coming up this September and I do not plan to attend. Too many of my former classmates are still stuck in 1969 and we did not enjoy ourselves at all at the 30th. I'm sure you will have a blast since you haven't been before. Enjoy!!

I've helped spearhead every single reunion my class has had. Our 30th was the best by far. We decided to have it very informal. You wanted to wear shorts? Wear shorts. Jeans? Wear jeans. Suit and tie? Your choice. I think because it was casual everyone felt much more comfortable and felt they didn't have to impress anyone and they could be themselves. We got a alot of great compliments from those who attended.

Enjoy it george!

Yeah, enjoy it George. And don't worry, you look better now than you did then anyway. I'm serious - western societies have a problem with aging (hence the multibillion dollar skin care industry) when we should embrace and celebrate it. I find most people look better as they age (as long as they don't turn into beer drinking squirrels like CajunMama! )

Kathy I wish ours was informal. Its "dressy casual".

Does anyone know how much I HATE wearing long pants in the summer?
