Earlier today in the Mobile, AL area, we experienced gusts to 50 mph when a strong line of storms and its associated gust front plowed through. A lot of branches on power lines causing power outages, but nothing too severe. A nice, textbook bubble high formed in the wake of the line. It felt really nice outside. Dewpoints actually dipped into the upper 60s for awhile.
We just can't get out of this wet pattern. Even with a 500mb ridge, we seem to keep being influenced by weaknesses in the ridge. That's the story of this summer in Mobile, AL!
Strong line of storms in S AL and S MS. What season is this?
