Well, it's data on another cat 4 hurricane. That's worth something.

looks like the pressure and a temp gauge are only intermitently giving readable readings. hope they fix it so we dont miss any important pressure readings.

T is temperature, and TD (meant as T_D, or T with a subscript D) is dew point

942 mb with a fl wind of 24kts. so maybe 940? winds kinda weak but they were also in the weak quad, should be stronger on the way out.

Looks like peak flight-level winds 118 kt and SFMR 92 kt.

I'm not sure why they're flying this either, but perhaps due to the low number of missions so far this year it's also being used as a training flight...

True that what they find is also of use to the thousands on the sea and it the air, so even though it might not reach land it's still a human issue...

Of course in the military our civilian term of "needlessly putting lives at risk" doesn't apply, since to the military danger is just part of their job, so to the crew is just another day at the office (lol)...
