how many

I am trying to figure this out in my head but maybe someone knows offhand......so far how many hurricanes have we had this season and how many of them were majors? I know we are on our 17th named system but I am trying to see how close I got to my early season prediction of 19/13/6. Thanks!!

There were 5 majors so far: Danielle, Earl, Igor, Julia, and Karl. With Alex, Lisa, Otto, and Paula, there were 9 hurricanes thus far.
