IR Loop shows increasing outflow at the end of the cold front just to the west of the Yucatan Peninsula...
Any comments from the Pro Mets here?

Re: EBOC Disturbance
I tried to get something out of the last front down there to no avail. This one does look like it has more of a proper twist to it but the 2012 anemia appears to be the dominating factor. Summer heat has returned here so conditions could be better. I'm not sure if it is over land and too far south, not to mention lacking convection.
I think a lot of board members have quit on this season.

Either that or fallen asleep. The last month or so has been about as boring as can be for many hurricane enthusiasts due to a lack of activity in the western basin. I'm almost falling asleep just posting this lol. Some have been happy with that but I'm confident that many have not been thrilled. Furthermore, there's still no threat to the CONUS or nearby areas in sight.

Re: EBOC Disturbance
It's a weak tropical wave interacting with an upper-level trof. We've followed it all the way from when it moved off the west coast of Africa on September 19th. Just a temporary flare-up. Development is unlikely.

I know odds are low for the system, but it's still there today and not looking too shabby.
