Spin in the GOM??
Now since this season has been less than advertised (active), I have pretty much turned my focus on winter. Are my eyes deceiving me or is there actually a spin in the GOM that we should take note of? Probably nothing, but if it were September it would peak my interest.

Re: Spin in the GOM??
That is an Upper Level Low traversing the Southern GOM. As you stated above, don't expect anything to come out of this system. Plus, a cold front coming into Texas currently will simply absorb this ULL and sweep through the GOM within the next 48 hours.
