NW carribean observations

#1 Postby Vortex » Tue Sep 02, 2003 6:18 pm

To begin very nice convective blowup in the area in and around the Yucatan and NW carribean. Also water vapor indicates a very favorable upper-air environment with and anti-cyclone over the system. Third as dixie has mentioned pressures have fallen. Last its early september and anything over those very warm waters can develop quickly. The odd thing is 99% of the time I'd be concerned for residents along the central/west gulf given the time of year but the pattern is somewhat octoberish and thus most models take this system over florida. For now there is no LLC and until we have a closed low i'll refrain from any predictions.

I agree with the Octoberish patterns right now. Seems to be starting early this year in the Gulf for the Octoberish patterns.
