Mark Sudduth and his team had placed a Kestrel Drop weather sensor inside the camera case they attached to a telephone pole in downtown Cameron, La prior to the landfall of hurricane Laura. Being that the centroid of Laura’s eye passed directly over that location, we were all very excited to see what the sensor had recorded!
As many probably already know, the aforementioned telephone pole was snapped about forty minutes before Laura’s center moved through Cameron...causing the camera box to be completely submerged in water. A few days thereafter, the camera box was ultimately retrieved and the “Drop” data was subsequently sent to Mark.
What Did He Discover?:
Here’s the link to a relatively short video he produced explaining what actually occurred that fateful night, and the statistical analysis involved in obtaining the lowest estimated minimum barometric pressure the instrument recorded in Cameron, Louisiana, during hurricane Laura’s historic landfall.

P.S. It’s a 25:00 minute video. The examination of the data begins at the 11:20 mark. The preceding part provides details about the site location, setup, and what exactly transpired during and immediately after hurricane Laura’s landfall.

Re: Hurricane Laura’s Landfall Pressure Recorded by HurricaneTrack.com
Great analysis by Mark Sudduth. For those who aren't up to watching: inundation "corrupted" the data during the eye, with an continued pressure rise. Through machine learning he concludes the lowest pressure was about 936mb, pending further research.
