It's not any smaller than chat rooms or emails.

I was always taught that caps were considered yelling as well.

You can make the text larger in your browser preferences.

I'd hate to see everybody YELLING back and forth! :o :o

This topic should be in the off-topic forum, shouldn't it?

I have heard from time to time that typing in all capital letters is considered "yelling."

But also, using all capital letters just doesn't look right. The majority of members here, (including me) wouldn't want to read every post in this way. :)

It is considered an emphasis or a more stern voice, IMO ... I only use it to make a point (never yelling) and I hate using all caps unless it is warranted for an emphasis of a point ...

Or when it's an advisory or discussion being copied and posted since those are always in all caps.

I agree, SF... I know what you mean by using capitals not being yelling; it does indeed emphasis a point.

The only posts that have all capital letters are Weather Statements from the National Hurricane Center and National Weather Service offices and at times even the Storms Predition Center in Norman, Oklahoma. These statements after all are making a point. :)

dixiebreeze...

The print here isn't smaller than other boards or anywhere else for me and since nobody else is having this problem, maybe you need to try to adjust your text size. I hope that helps. Is this the only place the text appears small for you?

Southerngale, no, not here. The worst is the message page -- very hard to read IMHO. But if no one else on this board has any complaints, then I'll have to deal with it.

What resolution is your PC screen ... I use 800x600 and the print shows up quite clearly for me?
