Details of Tropical Cyclone Dianne 28U at 5:00 pm AWST:
Intensity: category 1, sustained winds near the centre of 75 kilometres per hour with wind gusts to 100 kilometres per hour.
Location: within 35 kilometres of 15.3 degrees South, 123.6 degrees East , 100 kilometres west northwest of Kuri Bay and 225 kilometres north of Derby .
Movement: south southeast at 16 kilometres per hour .
Tropical Cyclone Dianne has developed and will cross the coast overnight, most likely northeast of Derby between Kuri Bay and Cape Leveque. TC Dianne is then expected to weaken rapidly as it moves further inland on Saturday and during Sunday. Although damaging winds are unlikely after TC Dianne weakens over land during the weekend, heavy rainfall is likely to extend through inland parts of the Kimberley and adjacent parts of the North Interior.
