Is there any way to enable the "new post" indicator icons

to show the user what threads him or her have posted in?

Not that I know of...You can set the topics you are posting in to a "Watch" status. This will e-mail you when someone replies to that thread.

The threads with at least one new post indicate a red "hurricane logo" rather than a yellow one on the FI Plain template.
