6Z GFS 12Z GFS Compare

#1 Postby Steve H. » Thu Sep 11, 2003 11:36 am

So far its out to 132 hours and shows Izzy about 300 miles further south than the 6Z position, but stalled north of Haiti, due east of Miami. Not that it means much other than it didn't go further north with her.

Yeah, the GFS out to 228 has her slowly lifting due north east of the Bahamas after a stalemate of 3 days between her and the ridge, not allowing her west of 73W. During this time the east coast trough and second high built in / left/built in. This run keeps her out to sea in the end I believe. But I think we can throw it out as well. I think it will get east of the Bahamas next Tuesday at about 26N, but not sit for 3 days or more!!
