I'm terribly disappointed....

about how some things have been going lately. We all love the tropics and thus why we post here. I am always visiting this board, excluding all other boards cause I really loved the discussions that go on here.

I have had more time then normal the past couple days and have been keeping a close eye on recent developments and have decided not to post replys. Why? Because for the first time I am seeing a slow but steady increase in the lingo being used. This is such a great board! Why is it suddenly erupting in such fierce compatition over who's right, wrong, knows it all, doesn't know it all, so on an so forth!?!

I loved the fact that everyone seemed to interact fairly well regardsless of knowlege and or time following the tropic and all thoughts were respected. I sadly feel this has not been the case!

Can everyone remember IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE IS GONNA GET SMACKED with this storm, unless it all the suddenly becomes a fish as almost all feel is unlikely to happen. And after that happens how are people gonna feel and/or react.....is it really worth all the heated feelings that are going around then?

I just feel sorry already for whatever happens to whomever and already adding my sincere thoughts and prayers that everyone stays safe...

Please don't let this thread become a debating ground on these points....I don't even expect any replies to it...just thought I had to share my feelings as I have held them in check over this matter all day.

Well you have to expect that in the face of danger like this that things are going to get a little rough. It happens everywhere, yet everytime it happens people always remark on it, we know that there are going to be disagreements or whatever, and i agree with you that we should not let it get the best of us.

Ill apologize for coming on strong in my thread when people didnt agree with me however the responses given back to me where jsut as bad, but hopefully we can move on from it and not let it get to us.

Like i said these things are expected to happen.

Just wanted to let you know I was not pointing fingers..and tried very hard to make sure no one felt that way..Hope it was so. Was a general observation I wished to bring to everyones attention.

I must say the past three hours have been much improved. If this post made any difference, was another's posts or Mods keeping an eye on things or any combination of the above...it seems to be working! And it's nice to see.

Thanks all for putting up with this pregnant gal's rants for a moment and being understanding and I know this board will continue to be the best around! *hugs all hard*

Thanks Pebbles......this is why I "Love" this board, we are proud of our *Troll Patrol*.....as it's been said numerous times, this is a family oreinted board and believe me, when Marshall gives his word, it's as good as gold and you can take that to the bank!

As a member of this board, you have every right to voice your concern. It is A GREAT BOARD, and we all want it to continue to be that way.

The situation at hand is going to cause some heated debates, that goes without saying. During times like these, reminder posts like yours are very beneficial.

I think you know how active I usually am on the board but I have not participated in many of the discussions concerning Isabel for the same reasons you posted. I am waiting for things to settle down. While I realize that tensions are high and many are not sleeping well, I just don't want to engage in any of the name calling and bashing that I have seen happen. I trust the mods on this board and I am confident that all issues will be handled effectively. This is still the best board on the net and I am proud to be a part of it but right now I feel more comfortable as a viewer. I will get back into this once the tension levels lower and people's emotions are levelling off. I am just so glad that we have mods who take this seriously and will make sure that this stops. I have also seen an improvement over the past day and knew it would happen. Thanks for bringing it up!!
