That shear is really messin its junk up. I don't think anyone suspected that it would have this type of effect.

It damn near stopped the storm right in its tracks.

I have a sinking feeling that if this goes on for a while, it will dramatically alter the storms future track.

... Man, look at all that dry air in the last frame.

With the convection continuously flaring up on the eastern side if this shear relaxes she COULD strengthen very rapidly
