Don't be Fooled
Isabel is still a contender. She is organizing quite well again, and the cirrus on her western flank is fanning out as her center is getting better organized again. She will still be a strong hurricane when she makes landfall.

I'm new to all this deep forecasting on hurricanes so most of this stuff as a guess--but seeing all this shear and Izzy trying to reorganize herself makes me think she will strengthen again but obviously shes weakened some more. Everytime I say don't let your guard down, my parents laugh as if everythings going to be ok---guess I'm too much of a worry wart or too much wannabe -removed-, who knows?!?

I agree that people should not let their guard down yet. Now if Isabel gets weakened to a minimal Category 1 hurricane just prior to landfall, then things will not be too bad. But I still think there is a decent chance Isabel is at least a Category 2 at landfall, and possibly a Cat 3 - because there is still some time and some warm waters for Isabel to restrengthen.

There is simply too many possibilities with Isabelle to let your guard down. My windows are boarded up, I am moving to a safer place. If she comes in as a TS or cat 1, hey I will be a very happy camper. But if she does come in stronger at least I will be prepared.
